Lisa Bless is an independent artist, dancer and maker based in Heidelberg (DE) & Berlin
Lisa is a freelance multidisciplinary performer, dancer and choreographer currently based in Heidelberg and Berlin (DE). She studied Contemporary Dance at the HfMT Cologne (BA) and ‚Performact‘ (PT). Since 2018/19 she is working as an independent dance artist and maker. As a dancer, she has been working with Ivan Pérez/ DTH (DE), Sandman Dance Company/ Sabine Molenaar(BE/NL), La_Trottier Dance/ Eric Trottier (DE), SORTA/ Paola Madrid (BE/MEX). With her own work, she has been a young resident artist amongst others in Quartier am Hafen & Tanzfaktur – Cologne; Tanzhaus NRW – Düsseldorf. She was invited with her performances to several festivals such as Now & Next Düsseldorf, Made in Köln by Zaik Cologne, Summer Intensive Portugal, Auf dem Sprung Festival – Aachen and regularly at the festival series Tanz im Delta, Mannheim. Her videowork (in)endlichkeit has been showcased in the Exhibition ‚Frauenkörper – der Blick auf das Weibliche von Albrecht Dürer bis Cindy Sherman‘ in Kurpfälzisches Museum Heidelberg. Supported by FondsDAKU she worked on the multidisciplinary portrait project ‚The way I see you‘. In 2022 She was resident artist of Theaterfestival Schwindelfrei, Mannheim, where she created and performed the hybrid solo dance & mapping performance Oxy-Gen| Z(8). For her creations EMBERS & today is yesterday and tomorrow in another place in collaboration with Anand Dhanakoti, she is funded by the city of Heidelberg, LaFT BW, CC-HD; ProFitArt (CZ) & Theaterfestival Schwindelfrei. The full evening premiered in in June 2024 with further performances in July at Theaterfestival Schwindelfrei 2024.
In her works, Lisa is concerned about future climate scenarios; human behavior/ concerns in relation to the current global situation.
